How to Avoid Getting Body Odour
Perspiration is the main cause of body odour. Bacteria multiply in places where perspiration cannot evaporate quickly – armpits, feet and groin. The best remedy is bathing or showering daily-or more frequently if necessary.
Wash or dry-clean outer garments regularly. Keep underclothes fresh, changing them at least daily. Choose clothes made of natural fibres – air circulates better through natural fibres than artificial ones, keeping down bacterial growth.
If these measures are not enough, use a deodorant, which contains agents to kill bacteria, or an antiperspirant to deal with sweating. Stop using any product that causes irritation.
