Height x spread: Up to 90 x 30cm (3 x 1ft).

Leaves: Grey-green with a whitish coating, mostly lance. Shaped, lower ones broader and toothed, 8cm (3in) long.

Flowers: Tiny, greenish, in upright spikes, mid summer to mid autumn.

Other features: Thousands of fatty, edible seeds. Annual.
