Stinging nettle

(Urtica dioica)

Height x spread: 30-120 x 30cm (1-4 x 1ft).

Leaves: Deep green, toothed, hairy, 4-8cm (1-½ – 3in) long.

Flowers: Yellow green tassels, 10cm (4in) long, late spring to early autumn.

Other features: Gives painful stings. Roots yellow, very tough. Perennial.
