What to Do About Concussion
A blow to the head or a heavy fall onto the feet can shake and disturb the brain enough to cause concussion. The person usually suffers a brief period of unconsciousness, but it may be so short that it goes unnoticed.
After the spell of unconsciousness, he may suffer from nausea and vomiting and may remember nothing about the incident.
Anyone suffering these symptoms, or who has been unconscious, should see a doctor. Don’t let him drive or take alcohol.
